Its almost over

Well the MBA is almost over folks. Been a great ride, but now looking to the future. In reflection what the MBA seems to give you is confidence above all else. You learn the technical skills that you could have learned simply by reading a text book, but above that, you learn what it means to interact with some seriously smart people who are from a completely different background from you.

Recently, I’ve secured a job at Coles in their strategy and architecture group. I’m pretty excited. I wasn’t one of those MBA’s that was particularly interested in getting a management consulting job at the end of the course. Actually I wasn’t even interested in working for a corporate. I’m probably one of those MBA’s who just likes the idea of learning and meeting some pretty fucking cool people.

My profile suggests I have an entrepreneurial flair – but am reluctant to let it go due to my risk adversion. This is something I will no doubt grapple with in the next phase of my life.

Whatever happens, in the words of big Kev…I’m excited
